Who we are
Silaa Network ("Silaa", "we", "us", "our") is a community of independent Arabic-speaking professional women, operating from Ontario, Canada. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered members, and Gold members.
Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at admin@silaa.me right away.
Gold Membership, billing, and renewal
Gold Membership is a paid subscription billed monthly or annually through our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. We may change membership pricing, and if we do, we will give existing subscribers reasonable notice before the new price applies to their next renewal.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account's billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Gold access until then. Payments already made are generally non-refundable, but if something has gone wrong, email admin@silaa.me and we will work with you to make it right.
Member content and conduct
You retain ownership of the content you post, including forum posts, directory profiles, and uploaded photos. By posting, you grant Silaa a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content as part of operating the site. You agree to follow our Code of Conduct, and you must not post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or the Code of Conduct.
Trainings, events, and consultations
Trainings, events, recordings, and consultation or mentoring sessions are provided for professional development and general information only. They are not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. Session times, speakers, and content may change, and where an event is cancelled by us, we will tell registered participants as early as we can.
Intellectual property
The Silaa name, logo, site design, course materials, and recordings belong to Silaa Network or its licensors. Members may use course materials for their own personal and professional development, but may not copy, resell, or redistribute them without our written permission.
Third-party services
We rely on third-party providers to run the site, including Stripe for payments and email delivery services for notifications. Their terms and privacy policies apply to the parts of the service they provide. Links to external sites are offered for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Silaa Network is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, the Code of Conduct, or applicable law. On termination, your right to use member features ends, and the Privacy Policy continues to govern how we handle your information.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, unless applicable law gives you the right to a different venue.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will notify members by email or a notice on the site before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
